How to cook simple and easy food – UNIAN

Lentils are good for soup and very filling.

Delicious flavored lentils are rarely used in home cooking. Many people are unaware of the important features of this culture. Lentils go well with meat and other vegetables, as well as side dishes and soups. Lentil soup is simple and satisfying, contains all the useful grains, and the taste is fully revealed. As an alternative, meat lovers can put sausage in a bowl or cook it with beef.

Soup with onions and vegetables

  • Lentils – 1 cup.
  • Olive oil – 50 ml.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 2 pcs .;
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Grilled cumin – 2 tsp
  • Curry – 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes – 600 g.
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs .;
  • Ground red pepper to taste.

Pour olive oil into a saucepan and heat. Finely chop the onion, peel and chop the carrots. Put the onion and carrot in a saucepan with oil, fry until golden brown. Add garlic, cumin, curry powder, simmer for a few minutes. Then pour in the chopped tomatoes, add ground pepper, salt.

Pour the vegetables in a liter of water and add the lentils. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat slightly and leave the soup under a closed lid for half an hour. Grind two cups of soup in a blender and pour back into the pot. Add chopped greens, squeeze half a lemon juice. Let the soup soak for 10 minutes and serve.

Tomato soup with lentils

  • Lentils – 1 tbsp.
  • Tomato juice – 600 ml.
  • Carrots – 2 pcs .;
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Meat Soup – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste, pepper.

Soak lentils in cold water for 40 minutes. Then boil in salted water until half cooked (20 minutes for green and brown lentils and 10 for red). In a frying pan, grease with finely chopped onion, add chopped carrots. Bake on low heat for a few minutes. Add chopped pepper to vegetables, simmer for a few more minutes.

Pour the vegetables into the soup and bring to a boil. Pour the beans into a saucepan, add the tomato juice and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave the soup to simmer under a closed lid for 20 minutes. Serve with chopped herbs and sour cream.
